Chamber Committees
Awards & Scholarships Committee - Define guidelines and selection criteria for any and all awards presented.
Yearly Awards: Small Business, Large Business, Volunteer of the Year, Lifetime Achievement, Senior Scholarship Award.
Christmas Parade Committee - Co-Sponsored with Lions Club & Jaycees to set theme and details.
Must also help the day of the Parade.
Finance/Budget Committee - To be headed by the Chamber Treasurer. Involves access to the financial condition both past and present and provides a monthly report and a budget forecast to the Chamber Board annually.
Fund Raising Committee - To secure location and date of events and to provide rules and regulations. Manage event, contact sponsors and obtain sponsorships. Typical Events: Golf Tournament, Steak Sandwich Fundraiser, 5K Run, Food Challenges i.e. Ice Cream, BBQ, Chili
Main Street Committee - To promote activities and development of the downtown and Main Street areas. The goal is to increase awareness and stimulate consumer traffic within the downtown area.
(Downtown Revitalization, Beautification, Friday On Main, Decorations)
Membership Committee - The focus is to develop and promote membership through membership drives and member benefits. This committee plans and facilitates business ribbon cuttings and open house events and any special perks offered to membership.
Membership Drive - a Radio-a-thon event giving members an opportunity to advertise their business.
Ribbon Cuttings and Open House - promoting and supporting our new and expanding businesses.
Ladies & Member Luncheons - provides an opportunity for Chamber members to showcase their products and services through the Chamber's largest networking event.
Annual Meeting & Banquet - To set location, date and theme of annual banquet and secure award trophies.
